About one-third of local businesses leasing in the area have moved in in the last five years. One quarter have been in place for 20 years or more and have established themselves as staples in the community.

Downtown Milton has several large events in the summer that attract over 130,000 people from across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. Other local activities take place throughout the year including the Milton Chamber of Commerce’s weekly Farmers’ Market from May to October as well as Easter, Holiday and Halloween events.
