A university and centre for education, innovation and collaboration is coming to the Downtown – with Council recently approving an unprecedented $150 million municipal investment for this project spurring jobs, creativity, investment and business partnerships. Council STEM-focused learning, and partnerships with two of Canada’s leading postsecondary institutions, Ryerson University and Sheridan College, will produce new waves of skilled workers for the industries of tomorrow.
More than $600 million has been invested in the recently opened Peel Memorial Centre for
Integrated Health and Wellness. With a focus on preventive care, it is the foundation for the development of a growing health cluster. Other new health facilities – like ErinoakKids – add more opportunities and dimensions to health care and cluster development in Brampton.
